After reading through the articles and rereading through the COVA ebook, I feel like I haven't been approaching my ePortfolio correctly.  I did see it as a placeholder for all of my work rather than a real authentic reflection of what I learned. I truly enjoy reading "What is an Eportfolio" and the explanation that it's " a learner's digital evidence of meaningful connections" ( Harapnuik, n.d.).

Reflecting back on my portfolio, I realized that I did spend time writing my post to where I was reflecting on the work I had created for 5302, but only because it was required of me. Would have I done it if the requirements were not there? The answer is no, but now understanding that ePortfolios are meant to allow learners to have independence. Without independence, a learner cannot sustain meaningful and authentic learning.

As  I read through each article, I see that ePortfolios are effective as a way to show what a learner has learned throughout their coursework and kept up through their profession.  I have never had a need for a blog and recently realized that I followed a blog that my former boss stopped using, maybe I could inspire them to continue their blogging efforts?

Already, I have decided to write a blog post about #observeme which is apparently taking the educational part of Twitter by storm, I've gone through the PD with our school and I hope to reflect on the notes that I will be using to show it's effectiveness in our school.

I'm definitely interested in developing my ePortfolio so that I can share via my  Twitter and inviting others to views what I have learned and continue to learn throughout this program and hopefully through my career.
